The gymnasium reeked of disinfectant and fear. Rain lashed against the corrugated iron roof, a relentless percussion to Arjun’s mounting despair. He hadn’t slept in thirty-six hours, each passing moment etching deeper lines into his weary face. Then Priya walked in, her eyes mirroring the storm outside – turbulent, unforgiving. He hadn't seen her in two years, not since… since the accident. The air thickened with unspoken accusations, the ghosts of their shared past swirling around them like the floodwaters engulfing the city.

"Arjun," she said, her voice a low tremor. "I came to help."

He wanted to scream, to demand why she was here, dredging up memories best left buried. But the arrival of Rohan, a pilot with a disarming smile and eyes that held too much knowledge, diverted his anger. Rohan was offering assistance, expertise, a welcome distraction from the chaos. Yet, something about him felt… calculated.

Then the body was found, washed up near the school. Recognition slammed into Arjun with the force of a tidal wave. It was Maya. The past, it seemed, had refused to stay buried. As the storm raged, secrets began to unravel. A misplaced photograph, a whispered conversation – tiny threads that, when pulled, threatened to expose a web of lies and betrayals that could drown them all. Rohan knew. Arjun could feel it in his bones. He was playing a game, and Arjun and Priya were pawns in a deadly scheme driven by vengeance. He watched Priya, her face etched with anxiety, the storm mirroring her own internal conflict. Could they survive this, together? Or would the deluge of lies finally tear them apart, forever?
