We started Dastaan because we were tired of mass-produced art. Every craft market in India sold the same coasters from the same Amazon molds, the same generic decor with no story behind it.
We are a family studio based in India — an engineer, his wife, and their toddler. Our engineering background lets us do things craft-only sellers cannot: design and print our own molds, embed NFC chips in resin, build the digital layer that lives inside a physical piece.
The result is art that belongs to exactly one person. A resin piece holding your grandmother's handwriting. A 3D-printed kolam in the exact measurements of your doorway. A memory capsule that plays your child's first laugh when you tap it.
