October 21, 2026 · 4 min read
Most Diwali gifts are eaten or forgotten by January. A pooja thali is used at every aarti, which is why it is one of the better festive and housewarming gifts.
When to gift a pooja thali - Diwali: for Lakshmi pooja at home. - Griha pravesh and housewarming: the new home's mandir needs one. - Weddings and engagements: a gift for the couple's first home. - Return gifts: a small devotional gift for guests at a function.
Which size - 6 inch (about 15 cm), ₹749: the Yellow Floral thali, with two blue lotus diya holders and brass-look diya cups. Right for daily aarti and a small pooja shelf. - 8 inch (about 20 cm), ₹999: the Blue Floral thali, with two diya cups and a central chowki holder. Better for festival pooja and for gifting.
How they are made Both are hand-poured resin with a gold-leafed scalloped edge and an embossed Ganesha. Flowers, leaves and pearls are set by hand, so no two are exactly alike.
Care Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Do not leave a lit diya unattended.
